Hey guys,

I'd like to share the new and improved Smooze Pro!

9Y3ugLf.png

Smooze Pro animates your scroll and adds functionality to your non-Apple mouse (scroll-wheel mouse).

Smooze Pro offers a wide range of additions, changes, and refinements, including per app per display configurations for all settings across the app and a brand new design!

And much more:

* Smooth Scrolling - Every app you own will have buttery smooth scrolling

* Multi Display - All settings can now be configured per app per display.

* Actions - Save time by attaching mouse buttons to actions

* Auto Scroll - You can now click a selected mouse button once to auto scroll anywhere on the screen, hands free, with buttery smooth animations!

* Gestures - Assign gestures to any button / shortcut / app

* Grab & Drag & Throw - You can now use a mouse button to grab and scroll anywhere on the screen. Throwing will animate the scrolling just like it would on a trackpad

* CPU Friendly - Highly optimized & Uses a very small percentage of your CPU, even on excessive use.

* High FPS - Smooze synchronizes its drawings to the refresh rate of your display which ensures the best scrolling experience.

Free feature:

* Remove scroll acceleration completely and control the number of lines to scroll on each tick (the app is not free but that specific feature is free and will always be free)

Video & Download

There's a 7 days trial if you want to check it out.

Let me know about any bug \ idea \ suggestion.

Thanks

I'm using something called Mos to smooth my mouse's scrolling now, and it's generally pretty good but chokes on some apps like Messages and News. Does yours handle that better?

I tried another one called SmoothScroll which is a rental which totally disqualifies it for me.

Lastly, I've had some issues with Paddle activations in the past. I use separate work and personal user accounts on both my Macs, and it seems that sometimes each one is counted as if it's a separate machine because Paddle can't seem to recognize it's the same Mac.

I've never experienced chocking so I'm not sure what you are referring to. You can try it out for free and find out. There's a 7 days trial.

No idea regarding paddle, I'm not familiar with that issue. If you do encounter that problem with Smooze, let me know and and I'll take it with Paddle.

I wonder if there is an option for the inverse, that is only selected apps will have smooth scroll?

I have been wondering if you could make the UI more like this:
1641451009196.png

Instead of the current smooze pro.
I actually held off of buying your app because I was annoyed by the horribly ugly UI previously.
Also, is it compatible with 120hz macs? Current MOS is not compatible.
And I would also like to disable mouse acceleration feature. That is very annoying as I have mouse acceleration set to defaults write -g com.apple.mouse.scaling -1. Any app that touches that just introduces input delay, which I do not want. Mouse acceleration should not be touched and should be optional only.
And it does not seem there is an option to have it only on for apps that are defined. I do not want smooth scroll to run on all applications, but only ones that I define.

Cursor configuration such as acceleration etc' are coming soon.
120hz is supported and works great.
All settings can be defined per app, per display, including smooth scrolling.

I love this trial application although, I do not like the out-of-place non-native components. I would prefer a native system preferences page instead of a custom one.
Nevertheless, this application looks promising although it is very unpolished.
1. I need to be able to close the preferences window that pops up when I type smooze pro two times with command+W. It currently does not work. I do know that the spacebar closes the application, and that is a cool feature nevertheless. But the minimize window button still needs to be there.
2. Use the native preferences AXdialog window, that is how Safari's preferences page looks like when you press command+, It does not look like this application uses native components. I do not like the custom stylesheet and prefer MOS's user interface which is more minimalist. I do not need to configure the type of scroll acceleration I need to use for every single application.
3. The window needs to be (vertically) resizable.
4. The dialogs need to be native-apple esque, not custom. It should look like apple made it, not like microsoft. The problem is that this is simply a reskinned version of your old app. I would prefer if the UI stylesheets were removed and the app made to look like apple-esque, that is swift layout.
5.

The area on the left is cut off. "Large trackballs are common on CAD."
6. More in-app keyboard shortcuts. Namely command+1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
7. "About Smooze" should not be maximizable. That makes no sense.
8.

8. Thje last area is bugged. The numbers are overlapping. I would suggest to disable the custom UI and make it native, as it will make it more understandable and more in line with macOS.

Sorry, I had to uninstall because very sluggish and slow to respond especially when logging out and logging in.
Reason why this isn't getting much purchases is because this app is very buggish and has too many features. It nee

Does that mean that the non-pro version will no longer get any more updates? (I'm now using the paid version of Smooze)

While new features will be added exclusively to Smooze Pro, Smooze is still being maintained for the time being.

Better Grab settings for Trackball mice were just added. You can now click to turn on grab scrolling (Without the need of holding a mouse button)
Anchored scrolling is also improved.

Cursor settings such as acceleration and sensitivity were also added as a new configuration screen.
