Apple today seeded second betas of upcoming iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3 updates to public beta testers, with the new software coming three weeks after the launch of the first public betas and a day after Apple provided the beta to developers.

iOS and iPadOS 15.3 can be downloaded over the air after the proper profile from Apple's public beta testing website has been installed on an iPhone or an iPad.

There's no word yet on what's included in the iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3 betas, suggesting that it likely focuses on under-the-hood improvements and bug fixes. We did not find anything new of note in the first two developer betas.

There are a few features that Apple has yet to implement, such as Universal Control and support for IDs in the Wallet app. Universal Control will let multiple Macs and iPads be controlled with the same keyboard and mouse, and Apple recently said that the feature will come out in the spring. There were no signs of Universal Control in the first beta, so it looks like it will be coming in iPadOS 15.4.

Digital IDs in the Wallet app has been in the works since Apple introduced the feature at WWDC in June. Arizona, Georgia, Connecticut, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Oklahoma, and Utah are expected to be the first states to implement digital ID support, and Florida is also in talks to support the feature.

Anyone else here experiencing this one?

Open Mail.
Look at a specific email.
Return to your Inbox.
Swipe up to close Mail.
Relaunch Mail.

Does that open to your Inbox or that email you previously viewed?
I'm experiencing the latter. Been doing this "a while." Maybe since iOS 14. I've shared with Apple - just curious if others have seen this experience.

Cheers.

On iPadOS it鈥檚 still got the last email displayed behind your mail hierarchy until in some mailbox inbox you select another email.

That's just it... For me, it hasn't been something I can always recreate. Specifically, it's not always the last email viewed, but an email. And sometimes it does open to my Inbox. But rarely, of late. Mildly annoying.

I wonder if they'll get around to fixing the issue with WebRTC audio. It gets treated as earpiece audio, rather than speakerphone audio, so it's nearly impossible to hear, even if you turn the volume all the way up.

It was a problem early in the iOS 15 beta process (and logged as such) and it still hasn't been fixed. Or maybe it was fixed, but the patch hasn't made it into released versions of mobile Safari.

I was hoping it would fix the 'taking out my Air Pods Pro while on a phone call hangs up the phone call' bug ... alas, that bug is still present. :(

Any one else having issues with Audio over lightning? Ever since I upgraded to 15 it will not connect to my car stereo. Its infuriating. Apple support is no help either.

To hear "lossless" I connected my AirPods Max to my 13 Pro Max with a lightning to 3.5mm cord. After today's upgrade it stopped working. It was working with the previous 15.2 beta iOS.

Correction: It is now working. My AirPods Max were at 27% charge. I charged them and connected it again to my iPhone and it works again.

For all people who have AirPods Max, you can listen to "lossless" or "Hi-res lossless" with the lightning to 3.5mm Apple bidirectional cord.

Latest Public iOS 15.3 Beta 2 released killed the ability to playing music through Apple CarPlay on my iPhone 13. Music on my phone appears on the screen but songs will not load and play. I reported to Apple through Feedback Assistant.

Does it play through CarPlay if you start playback on your phone? This was a bug introduced with 15.2 release. They fixed it in 15.2.1. Maybe it hasn't made its way to 15.3 betas yet...
